Island Batiks - Cotton Batik - Cherries, Sunshine

Batik is a generations old way of printing fabrics. All of the fabric production is done in Island Batik's own manufacturing facility in Bali, in a small village where men and women of the community manage all aspects of the production process. Team members perform the stamping of wax onto the fabric, dyeing, washing and drying, passing down the batik artistry from generation to generation. The fabric is laid out in the rice fields, where strong sunlight is essential to ensure deep color and true color fastness.
